ORA is pleased to welcome Janice Katz, one of our newest members! She began painting seriously about 15 years ago. Working from her home studio in Portland, Oregon she uses primarily acrylics. Her genres include portraits, abstracts and cityscapes. Jan's work always seems to tell a story. One of her newest series features scenes in a subway. These remarkable paintings bring a vibrancy to what many experience as an everyday occurrence. Many of us who live on the west coast have a notion that subways carry crowded masses in a dark train. Janice's paintings bring humanity forward enabling us to share in an intimate moment of subway life.
